1. About Wasla and these Terms
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Wasla Weddings LLC, trading as “Wasla” (“Wasla”, “we”, “us” or “our”). They govern your purchase and use of the Wasla service. By completing the purchase acceptance action, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them.
Wasla is a digital wedding-management platform that may provide wedding websites, guest and invitation management, RSVP tools, event information, meal and dietary collection, announcements, media features, collaboration tools and related services according to the package, add-ons and service period shown to you at checkout. The exact features, limits, price, currency and hosting period that you purchase are those shown in the checkout summary and recorded in your order.
If you are purchasing as a consumer, mandatory rights granted to you by Egyptian law continue to apply. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts a right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
2. Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract. If you purchase for a wedding involving another person, you confirm that you are authorized to provide the information and materials you submit and to administer the wedding workspace. You remain responsible for actions taken through your account and for collaborators whom you invite, subject to their own Platform User Terms.
You must provide accurate account, wedding, billing and contact information and keep it reasonably current.
3. Account security
Your Wasla account is personal to you. Keep authentication credentials, access links and verification methods secure. You must promptly notify Wasla if you reasonably suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account until you notify us of suspected compromise, except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.
You may not share credentials in a manner that bypasses Wasla’s role and collaboration controls.
4. Your wedding package
Wasla sells wedding services on a one-time package basis unless the checkout expressly states otherwise. The package is tied to the wedding identified at checkout. Package entitlements may include numerical or storage limits, such as guest capacity, media storage or hosting duration. The applicable limits are the limits displayed in the purchase summary and preserved with your order.
Optional add-ons may be offered separately. Purchasing an add-on changes only the entitlement expressly stated for that add-on and does not replace the underlying package unless the checkout expressly says so.
Guest-place add-ons
Wasla offers extra guest places for a wedding as add-ons. Under commercial terms version 3 the add-ons on sale are: - 25 more guest places: EGP 320 - 50 more guest places: EGP 550 - 100 more guest places: EGP 1,000
A wedding can add at most 350 places in total through add-ons. Add-ons can be chosen with a package at checkout or bought later from the wedding's guest list, and are paid by InstaPay transfer.
Places are added to the wedding's guest limit only after Wasla confirms the payment and activates them. A receipt that is uploaded but not yet confirmed adds nothing. If Wasla confirms a payment but cannot activate the places, the payment stays recorded, and Wasla contacts you to add them once possible or to deal with the payment under these Terms and applicable law.
Added places last for the wedding's hosting period, cannot be moved to another wedding, and do not change the package. The places, price and terms recorded with your order apply to that order even if the offers change later.
The hosting period begins on the date selected or determined by the product flow shown to you at purchase. The service may become unavailable when the hosting period expires unless you purchase an available extension. We may retain data for a limited period after expiry for operational, legal, backup or recovery purposes as described in the Privacy Notice and applicable retention rules.
5. Prices, taxes and order information
Prices are shown before you create an order. The checkout will identify the package, price, currency, included services, relevant limits, hosting period, discounts or promo codes applied and any additional amount that is payable. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the amount shown as the total payable amount is the amount due for that order, subject to taxes or charges that applicable law requires to be separately identified.
An order is created only after you confirm the purchase flow and accept these Terms. Creating an order does not itself mean that payment has been received or that the wedding has been provisioned.
Where the distance-contracting rules of Egyptian Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 apply, Wasla will provide confirmation of the contract and the applicable transaction information in writing by email or another electronic medium capable of being retained. Subject to the statutory exceptions and procedures, the consumer has the right to correct or amend the order within seven Business Days from acceptance unless the parties agree to a longer period.
6. Payment methods
Wasla may offer Paymob and InstaPay as payment methods. Availability may vary by transaction, provider status and technical readiness.
Paymob: Where Paymob is offered, payment is processed through Paymob or the payment method made available through Paymob. A payment is treated as successfully received by Wasla only after Wasla receives a successful confirmation from the payment provider and the transaction is not shown as failed, cancelled, reversed or otherwise unsettled. Paymob transactions are intended to provide immediate or near-immediate electronic confirmation where the provider supports it; provider, bank, network or authentication delays may still occur.
InstaPay: Where InstaPay is offered, you must transfer the exact amount to the payment destination shown by Wasla and follow the stated reference instructions. A screenshot, receipt, transaction reference or uploaded proof is evidence submitted for review and is not, by itself, confirmation that Wasla has received the funds. Wasla will verify the corresponding incoming transfer and will normally complete verification within a maximum of two Business Days after sufficient proof is received. “Business Day” means Sunday through Thursday, excluding official public holidays in Egypt.
If the amount, payment destination, reference or transaction evidence does not match the order, verification may be delayed or the payment may be rejected until the discrepancy is resolved. Duplicate, altered, reused or misleading proof may result in rejection, account restriction or other lawful action.
Wasla may add, replace, suspend or remove a payment method without changing an already confirmed payment.
7. Payment confirmation, failed payments and chargebacks
Your package is activated only after Wasla confirms successful receipt of the applicable payment and any required provisioning step is completed. A pending, failed or unverified payment does not create an entitlement to the paid package.
If a payment is reversed, charged back, refunded or determined not to have been received, Wasla may suspend unprovided paid entitlements while the matter is investigated, subject to applicable law and any amount already lawfully earned or required to be refunded.
If you believe a payment was duplicated, sent to an incorrect Wasla payment destination, or not matched to your order, contact support promptly and provide the information reasonably needed to investigate.
8. Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds
Your cancellation and refund rights are governed by these Terms and mandatory Egyptian consumer-protection law. Under Article 40 of Egyptian Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018, a consumer contracting at a distance has a statutory right to withdraw from a service contract within fourteen days from the date of contracting, subject to the statutory exceptions and lapse rules in Article 41 and any other applicable mandatory rules.
If you request or use Wasla services immediately after purchase, performance may begin before the statutory withdrawal period expires. Under Article 41, the statutory withdrawal right may lapse where the consumer has fully benefited from the service before the withdrawal period expires, together with the other cases provided by law. Nothing in these Terms reduces a mandatory right available to you.
Where a refund is legally due or approved under Wasla’s published refund policy, Wasla will return the amount using the original payment route where reasonably available and within the period required by applicable law. Paymob refunds may be processed through Paymob or the original electronic payment method. InstaPay refunds may be returned through an appropriate bank or instant-payment transfer after Wasla obtains any information reasonably required to make the refund safely. Bank and payment-provider processing times outside Wasla are not within Wasla’s direct control.
No provision stating that an amount is non-refundable overrides a mandatory statutory refund or withdrawal right.
9. Wedding changes, postponement and cancellation
You may change wedding information through the product where the relevant feature is available. Changing the wedding date does not automatically extend an existing hosting period or package term. If a postponement moves the wedding beyond the purchased hosting period, an extension may be required.
If the wedding itself is cancelled, the service remains governed by the purchased package, applicable statutory rights and any published cancellation/refund policy. Wasla is not a wedding insurer and does not reimburse third-party wedding expenses.
10. Guests, invitations and communications
You are responsible for the guest records, invitation eligibility, event assignments, plus-one settings, event information and other wedding data that you or your authorized collaborators enter. You must have a lawful basis and appropriate authority to provide personal information to Wasla.
Wasla may send or facilitate invitations, authentication messages, service emails or other communications requested by you or required to operate the service. Delivery can depend on third-party email, SMS, telecommunications or verification providers and cannot be guaranteed for every recipient.
You must not use Wasla to send spam, unlawful marketing, harassment, deceptive communications or content unrelated to the legitimate administration of the wedding.
11. Content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content that you upload or create, subject to rights held by other people. You grant Wasla a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence for the duration reasonably necessary to host, copy, process, resize, transcode, cache, transmit, display and otherwise technically use that content solely to provide, secure, maintain and support the Wasla service and to comply with law.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions required to upload and use the content you submit, including photographs, video, text, logos, music, guest information and other materials. You must not upload content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity or other rights.
Wasla owns or licenses the Wasla platform, software, templates, interfaces, branding and other platform materials. Your purchase gives you a limited right to use the service for the relevant wedding during the applicable service period; it does not transfer ownership of Wasla technology or branding.
Wasla will not use a private wedding, private photographs or guest content in public marketing merely because they were uploaded to the platform. Any promotional use requiring permission will be requested separately.
12. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, interfere with security, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, bypass access controls, scrape private guest information, introduce malware, impersonate another person, use automated traffic in a harmful manner, or use Wasla for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or infringing activity.
Reasonable security testing of your own integration or use must not disrupt production, access another customer’s data or breach applicable law or Wasla’s published security-testing rules.
13. Third-party services
Wasla relies on third-party services that may include hosting, databases, storage, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, phone verification, maps and payment providers. Some features may redirect to or embed a third-party service. Those providers may apply their own terms and privacy practices to the service they independently provide.
Wasla remains responsible for its own obligations under applicable law and does not become responsible for a third party’s independent service merely because the service is integrated with Wasla.
14. Availability, maintenance and wedding-day use
Wasla is designed for wedding coordination and we take reliability seriously. Unless a separate written service-level commitment expressly applies, Wasla does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, network failures, third-party outages, force majeure, emergency security measures or technical incidents may temporarily affect access.
You should keep critical wedding-day information available through a reasonable backup method appropriate to your event. Wasla is a coordination tool and is not a substitute for venue emergency procedures, professional event staff or emergency services.
15. Suspension and termination
Wasla may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, guests, the platform or third parties; to investigate fraud or payment abuse; to respond to security incidents; to comply with law or lawful authority; or to address a material breach of these Terms. Where circumstances permit, we will use proportionate measures and provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue.
You may stop using Wasla at any time. Deleting an account, leaving a wedding or ceasing use does not automatically cancel completed purchases, erase records we are legally required or legitimately entitled to retain, or affect rights and obligations that arose before termination.
16. Service responsibility and liability
Wasla will provide the service with the level of care required by applicable law. Information supplied by couples, collaborators, guests, venues and other third parties may be inaccurate or outdated; Wasla is not responsible for independently verifying every wedding fact entered by users.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither party will be liable for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made. Any limitation or exclusion in these Terms applies only to the extent lawful and does not exclude liability or consumer remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that Egyptian law does not permit to be excluded or limited.
17. Privacy and personal data
Wasla processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Notice and applicable Egyptian personal-data legislation. The Privacy Notice explains categories of data, purposes of processing, sharing, retention, security and available data-subject rights.
Where you provide information about guests, collaborators, plus-ones or other people, you are responsible for providing that information lawfully and for giving any notice or obtaining any authorization required from you. Wasla’s own obligations as controller or processor, as applicable, remain governed by law and the Privacy Notice.
18. Changes to these Terms
Wasla may publish a new version of these Terms for future transactions or future use. The version that applies to a purchase is the version you accepted when the relevant order was created, unless a later change must apply by law or you separately agree to it.
A new version will not silently rewrite the historical terms attached to a completed order.
19. Complaints and support
Questions, complaints and payment-verification requests may be submitted through cs@waslaweddings.com. Wasla may request information reasonably necessary to identify the relevant account, wedding, order or transaction.
Nothing in these Terms restricts a consumer’s right to contact the Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency or another competent public authority.
20. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent Egyptian courts as determined by applicable law. Mandatory consumer jurisdiction and consumer-protection rules remain unaffected.
21. General
If part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right.
These Terms, the checkout summary, the applicable package/order record, the Privacy Notice and any expressly incorporated policy form the agreement relating to the purchased Wasla service. In the event of conflict, mandatory law prevails.
The Arabic and English versions are intended to express the same agreement. If an inconsistency arises between them, the Arabic version will prevail to the extent permitted by applicable law.
